SIS Informatik GmbH and Der IT Macher GmbH are cooperating

Wolfratshausen (ots) – With the goal of optimizing Oracle Forms development, the FormsOptimizer is now jointly developed and marketed by both companies.

Through an intensive further development, marketing and distribution of the solution, which has been successfully implemented for several customers of the SIS Informatik GmbH for years, the two companies want to contribute to optically and technically bring Oracle Forms applications to the latest state of the art.

Many companies are faced with the problem that the UI of their longtime proved and tested Forms applications is no longer up to date, which leads to criticism among the users. Re-implementation at an alternative technology platform or a migration to a standard solution are, however, associated with enormous costs and risks.

The FormsOptimizer, which includes numerous reusable building blocks, enables existing Forms applications to be technically and optically updated with a straightforward programming effort. As a result, the applications are no longer stale and are “competitive” compared to newer applications in Java or .Net.

“This cooperation is now being made known to a wider circle of users,” says Peter P. Blöschl, CEO of SIS Informatik. “In Germany and Austria alone, there are thousands of companies that have been developing software on the basis of Oracle Forms for years. This provides the already planned FormsOptimizer roadshow , in autumn 2016, a broad spectrum. In addition, I have been familiar with the CEO of the IT-maker for many years and appreciate the profound Forms competence and, of course, the good access to Oracle customers. ”

“Work efficiently in a familiar application, but do not have to forego the comfort of modern surface concepts. And this is implemented with a reduced programming effort – This is the best way to describe the field of application of the FormsOptimizer, ” says Michael Kilimann, CEO of the IT maker which is responsible for sales and marketing, summarizing the benefits of the solution for the customers. “The components of this solution have been developed in practice for practice, many customers of SIS Informatik have been using it for a long time. They are really robust. Re-using proven functionality rather than reinventing the wheel makes the development economical for the company. ”

In addition to the extension of existing UI elements, the FormsOptimizer offers numerous new functional components for the UI. This includes comprehensive Excel-close table functions, database-based goto logic between masks, input and message windows with special functions, integrated display of HTML pages or a mail generator.

On the server side, for example, the client check helps to deal with typical problems after commissioning new PCs or changes to the application as quickly as possible. Through the server-side Java integration, externally available Java functions can be called directly from the application and the exchange of data with external functions is also considerably simplified.
